Taiwanese mocking at singaporeans' english
As Singaporean students, what is your response to the opinions of the Taiwanese celebrities? Do you agree / disagree with them?

Being a singaporean,upon hearing how the taiwanese insult us, Singaporeans' english, i felt obnoxious. I think that we singaporeans definitely can speak in good and proper english,maybe only a handful cannot. Most of the time,we will only speak singlish among ourselves but not towards the foreigners or in a formal occasions

The Taiwanese even said "Our English is not perfect but it's better than yours".It is very interesting when one criticise,they may not be the best to judge and criticise about it.

What was that about saying “新加坡发音都很奇怪” and “好像泰国腔”.In english,it means all singaporeans' english sounds very weird and it have thai accents in it. Anyway, what is wrong with having an accent? We do not criticize the Taiwanese for their way of speaking.

Therefore,if Singaporeans do not want to feel offended,they should start speaking proper english.
